What do you really want from your business?

Are you one of these people who want to work for 4 hours a week while sitting on a Caribbean beach watching the sea? What do you really want from your business?

Or are you someone who wants to run their own business on their own terms, but knows that to reach their goals they will have to work hard?

What do you really want from your business?

Iโ€™m definitely in the second camp.  I love my business and I am not afraid of hard work.  I honestly believe that if you want to achieve true success then you will need to work hard.

But hard work is not a bad thing, sacrifice is not a swear word.  Anything that is worth having doesnโ€™t come easily and you will feel so much better about a successful business if it is something that youโ€™ve worked hard to achieve.

Being an entrepreneur is both amazing and really complicated, there is no โ€œbossโ€ to tell you what to do which feels really freeing at the beginning, but sometimes knowing that all the decisions are down to you can be difficult.

I can guarantee you that there will be a point in your business when you will wish that you had someone to tell you what to do.  That you will want to be able to say to someone โ€œI donโ€™t know what to do, can you help?โ€

(This is where having a great coach comes into play, someone who can push you and challenge you and direct you through the challenges of running a successful business)

If you want to reach your goals and be successful without working with a coach then youโ€™re going to need to be incredibly self-disciplined. Youโ€™re going to need to keep yourself on track and make sure you take the necessary action to succeed.

Working hard on your own business is a completely different thing than working hard for someone else. Youโ€™ll get such a feeling of achievement when you see the money coming in, happy clients who are talking about what a great job you have done for them and know that you are making a difference in so many lives.

But to get this youโ€™ll have to work hard.  Have I mentioned that already?

Hard work (or hustle as a lot of the internet marketers say) is not always trendy or fashionable, but it is necessary if you want the freedom to be able to live your life on your terms.

If you are just starting out in your business then my advice to you is to be really clear on your goals, make sure you know exactly how much time you have to dedicate each day and to make a list of the actions you need to take to achieve those goals.  Make sure you do the work and don’t allow yourself to be distracted.

A good question to ask before starting any task is โ€œis this going to help me achieve my goals?โ€ And if the answer is no then it’s not something you need to do as a matter of urgency.  Prioritise those tasks which are going to help you be successful, and spend less time on the busy tasks that can take you a when day but achieve nothing.

If you are in the position of wanting to grow your business but not being sure how to go about it then book a free strategy call here, I can hold you accountable to achieving your goals and help you become the success that you deserve to be.
